About the role
- Consulting enterprise customers in the design of connectivity solutions for many different applications and industries
- Bringing in technical expertise; understanding of the business environment the customer and Vodafone operate in, and proposing solutions based on Vodafone’s managed connectivity and IoT solution portfolio
- Driving the solution from a pre-sales consultative stage through implementation and deployment
- Acting as a “technical consultant” to Vodafone’s customers
- Advising, proposing and designing solutions in line with customer needs, requirements and expectations
- Assessing technical solution complexity and deliverability within Vodafone’s IoT platforms as well as network capability both at a Global and regional level
- Leading presentation of IoT solution designs and workshops based on Vodafone’s IoT solution catalogue, clearly highlighting differentiators of Vodafone against competitors from a product and technical perspective
- Supporting the sales process from pre-sales and qualification stages, through RFP / bid and contract sign-up, all the way to implementation, deployment and successful acceptance testing and sign-off
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation conversant with the requirements of the customer and the capability of the business, and achieving customer technical solution approval
- Supporting customers during deployments, testing, in-life during new feature deployments, and managing technical change requests
- Liaising with internal delivery teams or technology partners driving solution design and testing through to completion
- Meeting the customer when and where needed – 40% travel within Spain and occasionally Europe
Requirements
- Educated to BSc or MSc or an IT/EE (or equivalent)
- Excellent Spanish and English, both oral and written
- Knowledge of cellular 3GPP / LPWAN network architectures with an understanding of specific aspects for IoT applications
- Knowledge of data communication, network, software application and IT technologies
- Understanding of RESTful and SOAP-based web services concepts
- Customer relationship management skills with ability to interact comfortably up to Senior level
- A self-starter with a determination to succeed
- Pro-active driven, can-do attitude
- Strong communication and decision making skills – ability to balance conflicting interests
- Strong commercial management skills including contractual and commercial negotiation experience as technical lead
- Experience in complex change management in a technological context
- Team player, strong influence and relationship management skills
- Used to work in a fast-paced environment, flexible to adapt
