About the role
- As a Senior Expert DevSecOps (m/f/d), you are responsible for defining and designing standards in the area of Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD) — including pipelines, tools, implementation processes and environments (public cloud and internal data center) — to support agile and core IT organizations.
- You operate, monitor and deploy various platforms in the AWS cloud and implement monitoring mechanisms.
- You analyze and resolve complex incidents, coordinate improvement measures and manage major incidents together with delivery units, test teams, security and infrastructure teams.
- You define and implement automated development and deployment workflows to reduce downtime and increase production stability.
- You review compliance with cyber security guidelines for development and operations and derive concrete measures from Vodafone security requirements.
- You also coordinate activities during security incidents and audits.
- You participate in communities of practice and take on deputy leadership roles and work within disciplines such as software development, testing, cyber security or application operations, and communicate at operational and leadership levels (AL/GL/MA) within the IT organization.
Requirements
- Degree, preferably in computer science, natural sciences, engineering or business administration.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in various IT roles, preferably in a telecommunications company.
- In-depth knowledge of heterogeneous operating systems and databases (e.g., Unix, Oracle) as well as common IT architectures and data center models.
- Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, SAFe) and fluent English skills.
- Experience in intercultural communication and negotiating with customers and suppliers.
- High resilience and experience in crisis management for subject-area topics.
- Good knowledge of IT applications, automation of development and deployment workflows (CI/CD) and cloud architectures.
- Fluent and proficient German and English skills (CEFR C1).
