About the role
- As Senior Sponsorship Manager, you are responsible for the strategic development of our sponsorship partnerships and their integration into our corporate strategy, in particular the partnership with Borussia Dortmund (BVB).
- You initiate and coordinate projects to differentiate the sponsorship portfolio with regard to brand building, innovation, and commercialization.
- You are responsible for the strategic allocation of sponsorship budgets and for maximizing ROI.
- You work closely with executive management and external key opinion leaders to position sponsorship as a business driver.
- You lead high-level negotiations with club executives, rights holders, and partners.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in sponsorship management, preferably in professional sports.
- Degree in sports marketing, marketing, business administration (BWL), or a related field.
- Exceptional business expertise: ability to evaluate sponsorship as a strategic investment and to develop complex business cases.
- Knowledge of sports law: deep understanding of the legal frameworks relevant to sponsorship and contract structuring.
- Excellent networking skills: established network in the sports sector and the ability to build strategic relationships.
- Business-fluent English and a confident presence at executive level (C1 CEFR).
