About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct high-complexity internal audits in accordance with the Annual Audit Plan, within the established schedule;
Prepare and document the planning for each audit based on the department's methodology and perform fieldwork;
Contribute to work planning and execute audits to provide an independent, constructive assessment of Telefónica group companies' processes — adding value and helping improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, controls, and corporate governance;
Document performed tests and their results;
Present findings to audited areas and recommend measures to resolve issues;
Prepare audit completion reports;
Plan and execute special audit projects according to assignment and level of complexity;
Participate in the preparation of the Annual Audit Plan;
Maintain and safeguard all documentation resulting from audit activities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields;
Proven professional experience in internal controls and/or SOX audits with audit experience (minimum 3 years);
Experience in audit projects at publicly-traded companies in Brazil, the US, or other international markets will be viewed favorably;
Expected knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and ESG; prior experience auditing ESG processes and/or implementing internal control systems related to ESG is desirable;
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in audit data analytics (e.g., journal entry testing), with positive consideration given to experience using tools such as Power BI, ACL, Alteryx, including data extraction from source systems, loading, and processing within these tools;
Broad strategic perspective, digital mindset, and experience with agile working methodologies.
