About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor project budgets monthly, segregating capital expenditures (CapEx) and operational expenditures (OpEx)
Track actuals versus plan, identifying variances and their root causes
Consolidate information from multiple projects into management-level views
Support the budget review process (forecasting and replanning)
Prepare periodic (monthly) reports with financial performance indicators
Create presentations and supporting materials for planning meetings
Ensure consistency and traceability of reported information
Proactively flag budget deviation risks
Monitor the product billing cycle, from calculation through issuance
Structure and document operational billing processes, mapping workflows and owners
Identify and resolve billing inconsistencies with involved teams
Ensure billing cycle deadlines are met
Run and maintain SQL queries that underpin the measurement and calculation of billing
Validate integrity and consistency of data extracted from databases
Document queries and calculation logic used
Evolve databases in partnership with engineering/IT teams as business needs require

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Accounting or related fields
Strong knowledge of CapEx and OpEx: concepts, classification and budgetary control
Knowledge of billing processes and the revenue cycle
Familiarity with financial planning methodologies (budget, forecast, variance analysis)
Intermediate to advanced SQL: queries, joins, aggregations, subqueries and database optimization
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets: pivot tables, complex formulas, dashboards
Preferred: Power BI, Tableau or similar for data visualization
Attention to detail and strong analytical rigor
Clear communication skills for reporting to planning teams
Ability to organize and structure operational processes
Autonomy to identify inconsistencies in datasets and in reported results
