Key responsibilities & impact

Lead architects and multidisciplinary teams responsible for Digital Identity, Decentralized Identity (DID/VC) and trust infrastructure initiatives, ensuring end-to-end vision from discovery to operations (product mindset).
Provide leadership for teams, strategy and governance of assigned identity platforms.
Define the product vision and value proposition for Digital Identity and DID/VC platforms, including target audiences, priority use cases and strategic drivers.
Define and evolve architecture strategy, corporate standards and reference architectures for solutions based on DLT, decentralized identity, smart contracts and enterprise security.
Design, develop and govern critical data structures in the security functional domain.
Lead strategic and architectural planning, technical prioritization and roadmaps for critical platforms and services.
Run problem-oriented discovery, translating business, regulatory and risk needs into a prioritized backlog and an outcome-driven roadmap.
Define and address high-impact technical decisions about platforms, network governance, interoperability, costs, security and performance, aligning technology with business strategy.
Oversee and guide the design of complete DID/VC flows, integrations with wallets, agents, SDKs and internal systems.
Sponsor and follow integrations with credential providers and issuers, HSM/KMS, ensuring security, traceability and compliance.
Define guidelines for deployment and operations: topology, nodes, APIs, middleware, automations, hardening and observability.
Lead architecture policies for key, secret and cryptographic asset management, ensuring adherence to corporate standards.
Mentor teams, remove technical impediments and ensure consistency in deliveries.
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interactions and executive presentations on vision, risks and architectural directions.
Ensure clear and consistent documentation of standards, architectural decisions, flows and strategic components.
Define and track platform success metrics (adoption, quality, availability, security and consumer satisfaction), using data to guide continuous evolution.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience in leadership positions on foundational/security-related projects.
Strong background in enterprise architecture, software engineering and technical decision-making in complex, regulated environments.
Deep knowledge of the DID/VC ecosystem (standards, models, integrations and interoperability).
Technical and architectural experience with Java, Kotlin or C#, and frameworks such as Spring and Quarkus.
Technical experience with mobile device security mechanisms (e.g., Secure Enclave).
Solid knowledge of security, cryptography, key management, secrets, hardening, observability and delivery pipelines.
Understanding of architectural categories and modeling according to TOGAF.
Experience with DLT frameworks, especially Hyperledger.
Experience in architectural governance, budget management, technical prioritization and team development.
