About the role
- Oversee the installation of telecommunications equipment.
- Configure, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and systems, including VoIP, voicemail, IVRs, call routing, and messaging platforms.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to voice and data communications systems, such as network connectivity and hardware malfunctions.
- Perform user provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Ability to manage and support multi-site and hybrid work environments.
- Implement security measures to protect communication data and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Implement new telecommunications and voice system technologies.
- Manage and maintain wireless cellular accounts.
- Procure and oversee the installation of internet circuits and renewals.
- Oversee low voltage cabling contractors.
- Document processes and voice system flows.
- Escalation point for the IT service desk and end user support.
- Train users on how to effectively utilize telecommunication systems and create documentation for reference.
- Provide a high level of customer support and communication.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive work experience in telecommunications and voice administration, preferably in healthcare
- Industry certification are a plus
- Strong working knowledge of a variety of telecommunication technologies and protocols, including VoIP, SIP, networking protocols, cloud-based platforms, and communication software
- Strong working knowledge of Ring Central is a plus
- Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, VLans, QoS, DHCP, DNS and ethernet cabling
- Security minded and an understanding of HIPAA
- Working knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls
- Working knowledge of different internet access types
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues quickly
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and prioritize effectively
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
