About the role

  • Oversee the installation of telecommunications equipment.
  • Configure, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and systems, including VoIP, voicemail, IVRs, call routing, and messaging platforms.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to voice and data communications systems, such as network connectivity and hardware malfunctions.
  • Perform user provisioning and deprovisioning.
  • Ability to manage and support multi-site and hybrid work environments.
  • Implement security measures to protect communication data and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Implement new telecommunications and voice system technologies.
  • Manage and maintain wireless cellular accounts.
  • Procure and oversee the installation of internet circuits and renewals.
  • Oversee low voltage cabling contractors.
  • Document processes and voice system flows.
  • Escalation point for the IT service desk and end user support.
  • Train users on how to effectively utilize telecommunication systems and create documentation for reference.
  • Provide a high level of customer support and communication.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive work experience in telecommunications and voice administration, preferably in healthcare
  • Industry certification are a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of a variety of telecommunication technologies and protocols, including VoIP, SIP, networking protocols, cloud-based platforms, and communication software
  • Strong working knowledge of Ring Central is a plus
  • Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, VLans, QoS, DHCP, DNS and ethernet cabling
  • Security minded and an understanding of HIPAA
  • Working knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Working knowledge of different internet access types
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
