About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Owning and scaling the Sports vertical across Europe, working directly with executives at sports clubs, leagues, tournaments and other sports-focused events
- Playing an active role in key deals, including deal strategy, executive alignment, and closing
- Leading by example, as well as coaching and developing a team of Account Executives, with a strong emphasis on performance, accountability, and progression
- Partnering closely with the Head of Business Development to transition and develop BDRs into successful AEs, including enablement, ramp plans, and ongoing coaching
- Defining and executing the sales strategy for the Sports vertical, in collaboration with GTM, Sales and executive leadership
- Driving forecasting accuracy, pipeline health, and revenue predictability through disciplined use of data and metrics
- Developing and maintaining deep knowledge of the sports ecosystem, including upcoming tournaments, events, trends, and market dynamics
- Traveling as needed to support customers, team development, and industry engagement
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of leadership experience scaling sales teams (in Sports, Ticketing, or SaaS)
- 5+ years of experience in active full-cycle sales roles
- A proactive, hands-on approach
- Proficiency in forecasting and pipeline management
- The ability to balance strategic leadership and active deal involvement
- A data-driven focus on metrics and results
- Willingness to travel as required
- Business fluency in German and English; additional fluent languages are a plus
