About the role

  • Expand Viva’s international footprint by building and growing relationships with global clients and enterprise merchants.
  • Drive business development strategies to acquire and grow global accounts in the payments sector and banking services; act as main point of contact.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, pitching, commercial agreements, roll-out and success to achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide pre-sales support and partner enablement; support customer and partner success to ensure smooth adoption and sustained engagement.
  • Prepare proposals, business cases, and support project implementation with key merchants.
  • Monitor global market trends, regulatory changes, and competition to shape strategies and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Partner with product, marketing, legal, local sales and IT teams to ensure seamless delivery and advocate for client needs.
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure alignment with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Represent Viva at industry events, build networks, and identify partnership opportunities.
  • Track and report on account performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Strengthen relationships with payment operators, central banks, and strategic partners.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, account management, or partnerships, within the payments, fintech, or banking industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; an MBA or background in engineering is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of global payment processing solutions, market dynamics, and regulatory environments.
  • Hold strong presentation, communication, and third-party handling skills, particularly over video meetings or over the phone.
  • International mindset with the ability to manage complex global accounts.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
