About the role

  • Responsibility for defining and advancing the software and system architecture of our Carrier Aggregation Platform (CAP)
  • Architecture governance: ensuring standards, guidelines and best practices
  • Design and review of complex, distributed systems
  • Close collaboration with development teams, requirements management and the CTO/CIO
  • Mentoring for our architects and developers
  • Support for DevOps strategies and test management
  • Evaluation of new technologies and development of architecture roadmaps
  • Support for make-or-buy decisions and integration strategies

Requirements

  • Proven experience in establishing and evolving architecture governance
  • Strong skills in designing and structuring complex software architectures, including target architecture and roadmaps
  • Experience with TM Forum Open Digital Architecture, Open APIs and telco best practices
  • Preferably knowledge of security, compliance and regulation (e.g., TKG (German Telecommunications Act), ISO 27001, KRITIS)
  • Experience in developing technical standards and guidelines
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills with diverse stakeholders
  • High degree of independence, sense of responsibility and enjoyment of teamwork
  • Strong technical foundation in modern software stacks
  • Proven routine in analyzing and evaluating existing architectures
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English
