About the role
- Generate, review, and issue customer invoices on a recurring and ad hoc basis
- Reconcile billing data against contracts, usage, pricing, and payments
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, credits, adjustments, and disputes
- Partner with Finance on month-end close, revenue reconciliation, and reporting
- Maintain billing accuracy across systems (CRM, billing platform, accounting software)
- Support audits by providing billing documentation and clear explanations
- Identify billing errors, process gaps, and inefficiencies—and fix them
- Build and maintain billing reports, dashboards, and exception tracking
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Sales on contract changes and renewals
- Manage and help recover overdue payments from customers
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in billing
- Strong understanding of invoicing and billing controls
- High attention to detail without losing sight of deadlines
- Comfort working across systems and spreadsheets (Excel/Sheets required)
- Ability to explain billing issues clearly to non-finance teammates
- Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or subscription-based businesses is a plus
- Experience with Stripe strongly preferred
