About the role

  • Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and leader for Vitalief’s clinical trial budgeting and coverage analysis outsourcing services.
  • Design, launch, and profitably grow a scalable budgeting and coverage analysis service offering in collaboration with Service Delivery leadership.
  • Review clinical trial protocols and develop comprehensive clinical trial budgets using internal teams and advanced AI-enabled technologies.
  • Oversee budgeting and coverage analysis activities, ensuring compliance with CMS, FDA, NIH, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and contribute to consulting engagements, supporting high-impact financial and operational initiatives.
  • Partner with Business Development to support sales efforts, including client presentations, proposals, and solution design.
  • Develop client proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs); play an influential role in closing new business.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to evolve innovative clinical research service offerings.
  • Support and advise clients during sponsor and CRO budget negotiations.
  • Represent Vitalief at industry conferences, panels, and thought leadership forums.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in clinical research operations, financial management, or related roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Deep expertise in clinical trial budgeting and coverage analysis across oncology and non-oncology studies.
  • Prior consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop Statements of Work and/or other types of business proposals and gain stakeholder consensus.
  • Proven success negotiating budgets with sponsors and CROs.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading teams, managing complex projects, and maintaining senior-level client relationships.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and building new services.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% within the United States.
