About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Reporting to the Vice President, Total Rewards and People Operations, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for crew members.
  • Maintain payroll data integrity, partnering with People Operations and Finance on payroll changes and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour requirements.
  • Support audits and reconciliations, responding to crew questions with professionalism and discretion.
  • Help continuously improve payroll processes and controls.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of end-to-end, multi-state payroll processing experience (multi-location a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and confidentiality/controls best practices.
  • Hands-on payroll tax support (garnishments, W-2s, agency notices) with a payroll provider.
  • Proficient with payroll/timekeeping/HRIS tools (e.g., UKG, ADP, Workday, Paycom) and quick to learn new systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables) and comfort with large datasets/reconciliations.
  • 10-20% travel is required for meetings, company trainings, and events.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
