About the role
- Conduct research and development on Bismuth Rare-earth Iron Garnet (Bi:RIG) crystal thin films.
- Develop processes for operation of the Liquid Phase Epitaxy (LPE) furnace.
- Establish and implement product standards for Bi:RIG.
- Address process and quality issues encountered during production and propose improvement measures.
- Set up a platform for testing magneto-optical crystals: composition analysis, thickness measurement, and Faraday rotation performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with the crystal processing workshop to establish processes for cutting, polishing, and other thin-film operations.
- Provide technical guidance and training to workshop technicians and facilitate team communication and coordination.
