About the role

  • Conduct research and development on Bismuth Rare-earth Iron Garnet (Bi:RIG) crystal thin films.
  • Develop processes for operation of the Liquid Phase Epitaxy (LPE) furnace.
  • Establish and implement product standards for Bi:RIG.
  • Address process and quality issues encountered during production and propose improvement measures.
  • Set up a platform for testing magneto-optical crystals: composition analysis, thickness measurement, and Faraday rotation performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the crystal processing workshop to establish processes for cutting, polishing, and other thin-film operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to workshop technicians and facilitate team communication and coordination.
