About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You analyze processes and data structures across various medical domains
In close coordination with clinicians, you elicit and systematize clinical (documentation) requirements
You ensure the use and development of clinical information models and terminologies to achieve semantic interoperability, in close cooperation with national and international standardization initiatives
You support the translation between different data models and standards
You create data integration pipelines between proprietary systems and open data standards
You advise internal and external stakeholders on medical data structures, particularly in the context of analytics, machine learning, and decision support systems
You conduct training for internal and external users in the area of data modeling

Requirements

What you’ll need

A completed degree, preferably with a focus on medicine, medical informatics, and/or medical information management
You are prepared to work intensively in interdisciplinary teams on modeling clinical data using openEHR, FHIR, and terminologies (e.g., ICD, SNOMED CT, LOINC)
You have solid knowledge of fundamental computer science methods (programming, scripting, databases, system administration)
You have experience integrating clinical data using common tools such as Apache NiFi, MapForce, Microsoft SSIS, KNIME, or similar
Ideally, you have practical experience with workflows and documentation in a hospital environment
Experience with complex clinical application systems (from a user or admin perspective) is desirable
You demonstrate strong self-initiative
You communicate confidently with different stakeholders and can explain complex topics clearly
You are fluent in German and English.
