About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support project management for the Defense Suicide Prevention Office by guiding day-to-day operations and driving continuous improvements with systems and tools.
  • Shape and inform the organization’s vision, strategy, and long-term goals while ensuring operational efficiency through streamlined workflows and processes.
  • Enhance operational efficiency via streamlining processes, supporting project management efforts, and building or refining workflow tools to improve tracking, coordination, and execution across the enterprise.
  • Support the administrative activities associated with managing information and meetings for Suicide Prevention and Response Independent Review Committee (SPRIRC).

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3-10 years of directly related experience
  • Experience supporting business operations, including conceptualizing and designing operating models that enable mission execution
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct process improvement work, including identifying, defining, and implementing improvements to workflows or operational systems
  • Understanding of strategic planning principles with experience supporting or contributing to organizational strategy and operating plans
  • Systems understanding and the ability to assess how tools, processes, and platforms interconnect to support mission requirements
  • Experience performing administrative, coordination, or project management activities in support of organizational operations
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel in support of process improvement, data analysis, and meeting minutes
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A minimum of Secret Clearance is preferred.
  • Previous DoD administrative or office management experience preferred.
  • Experience using workflow tools or supporting Agile methodologies, including process mapping preferred.
  • Familiarity with government or public-sector operations, including task management systems like CATMS preferred.
  • Ability to translate technical or workflow solutions into business outcomes to leaders preferred.
  • Experience working in a military environment or within military personnel preferred.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) preferred.
