Support Department of Defense clients within the Personnel & Readiness organization
Investigate, analyze, and evaluate policies, programs, and procedures related to integrated primary prevention of harmful behaviors in the military
Conduct literature reviews, assess research quality, and synthesize findings and recommendations
Support DoD social science, public health, and workplace climate research efforts including program evaluations, focus groups, and organizational climate surveys
Interpret statistical findings and present data and research results to non-technical audiences
Utilize quantitative and qualitative research methods and program evaluation methodologies
Provide clear verbal and written communications to a variety of stakeholders in alignment with DoD style expectations
Prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity
Requirements
Doctoral degree in public health, sociology, epidemiology, or a related social science field
3+ years directly related experience
Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion policies and programs (preferred)
Experience working in a military environment (preferred)
Active or recent DoD clearance or suitability determination, or ability to obtain a security clearance (preferred)
U.S. Citizenship required
Understanding of social science disciplines, research methodology, and statistics
Ability to conduct literature reviews, assess research quality, and synthesize findings
Experience with program evaluations, focus groups, and organizational climate surveys
Ability to interpret statistical findings and present data to non-technical audiences
Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods and program evaluation methodologies
Clear verbal and written communications aligned with DoD style expectations
Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
