About the role

  • Ensure the end-to-end quality, reliability, and performance of the STAR application by delivering comprehensive automated and manual testing across UI, API, data, and integration layers
  • Perform comprehensive functional, UI, API, integration, and regression testing across STAR application modules
  • Validate data integrity, workflow accuracy, and end-to-end system behaviour for new features and BAU enhancements
  • Conduct cross-system validation for upstream/downstream dependencies and ensure alignment with business rules
  • Log, track, analyse, and verify defects using JIRA or equivalent tools with clear documentation and root-cause insights
  • Partner with developers, BAs, and product owners to triage issues and drive timely resolution
  • Adhere to and help refine centralized QA standards, frameworks, and testing methodologies
  • Create, maintain, and version-control test cases, test scripts, and test data for audit readiness
  • Lead automation initiatives to expand regression coverage and improve testing efficiency across UI, API, and data layers
  • Work closely with Product Leads, Technology teams, Data teams, and Operations to ensure QA efforts align with business priorities and release timelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of QA Engineering experience within the Investment Management or Financial Services domain
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and agile delivery practices
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA)
  • Proficiency in Selenium or similar automation frameworks, and familiarity with BDD tools (e.g., Cucumber)
  • Experience building automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid experience with API testing and SQL-based data validation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
