About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the development and deployment of AI and advanced analytics solutions to improve equipment reliability, maintenance strategies, and fleet performance
  • Identify high-value use cases across all Fleet departments to integrate solutions into existing workflows
  • Drive adoption of new technologies by coordinating training, developing practical use cases, and supporting end users
  • Partner with site teams and corporate groups to ensure solutions are scalable, repeatable, and aligned with fleet priorities
  • Monitor solution performance and continuously refine tools based on real-world impact and lessons learned
  • Represent the organization in industry groups, vendor engagements, and research initiatives to bring proven ideas and best practices back internally
  • Develop clear documentation, guidance, and standards to support long-term sustainability of deployed solutions
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on project progress, value delivered, and emerging opportunities
  • Drive a culture of innovation by challenging traditional approaches and identifying new ways to improve safety, performance, and cost.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (engineering, computer science, data analytics, or similar) OR equivalent experience
  • 3–7 years of experience in data science, analytics engineering, or applied AI
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one ML/analytics framework
  • Experience applying AI, data analytics, or digital tools in a business or operational environment
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on practical, implementable solutions
  • Ability to work across organizations and influence without direct authority
  • Clear, concise communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Self-starter who can identify opportunities, take ownership, and deliver results
  • Comfortable working in an evolving space with emerging technologies.
