About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Product and Program Management teams to lead procurement deliverables for New Product Introductions (NPI); take end-to-end ownership of material sourcing, supply chain readiness, and packaging validation.
  • Review and analyze volatile production forecasts against highly dynamic actual sales; proactively adjust Material Requirements Planning (MRP) parameters to ensure 100% material availability while mitigating excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory risk.
  • Independently navigate and resolve highly complex, multi-functional supply chain scenarios involving cross-border plant management.
  • Synthesize detailed supply chain analysis into clear, high-level summaries for executive review.
  • Represent the procurement function at all core launch meetings; generate and maintain critical supply chain readiness dashboards, KPIs, and risk-mitigation reports.
  • Act as the primary supply chain liaison bridging gaps between Global Product Marketing, Program Management, Manufacturing Operations, Global Procurement, and Finance to ensure financial and operational alignment.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for assigned raw material and packaging categories by leveraging market intelligence, spend analysis, and total cost of ownership (TCO) models.
  • Identify, research, and prioritize high-impact sourcing opportunities through structured internal spend concentration analysis, aligning initiatives with business urgency and regional savings targets.
  • Lead full-lifecycle sourcing activities, including Request for Proposal (RFP) development, rigorous commercial analysis, supplier selection recommendations, and comprehensive contract management.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and execute complex supplier negotiations; draft, review, and finalize contractual language to institutionalize commercial terms, SLAs, and pricing frameworks.
  • Lead regional and plant-specific packaging optimization initiatives—including structural and design updates—to maximize packaging density, reduce freight/material costs, and eliminate transport damage.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in strategic supplier management, commercial procurement, or supply chain roles, preferably within a multi-plant, high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of executing full-lifecycle strategic sourcing initiatives, including drafting complex RFPs, evaluating commercial proposals, leading negotiations, and managing contract executions.
  • Professional designation or active pursuit of supply chain certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is considered a strong asset.
  • High operational proficiency in SAP (or similar Tier-1 ERP systems), with an advanced understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools, forecasting, and inventory planning.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Proactive self-starter with the capability to operate independently with minimal supervision for extended periods, effectively balancing day-to-day priorities with long-term strategic projects.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across functions, cultures, and organizational levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and sharp attention to detail, with the agility to manage competing deadlines and adapt to dynamic production schedules.
  • Willingness and flexibility to adapt working hours as needed to support regional operations, and the ability to travel to manufacturing plants and supplier sites as required.
