Conduct thorough market research and internal analysis to understand the trends, risks, and opportunities within the Technology category (including all subcategories: cloud infrastructures and services, SaaS, business solutions, CRM, cybersecurity, collaboration tools, etc…).
Based on this analysis, develop procurement strategies and implement projects that align with the organization’s objectives, focusing on cost reduction, spend control and demand management, services improvement, and innovation.
Manage relationships with suppliers, including selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts and renewals, and managing ongoing performance.
Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, such as technology, operations, and finance teams, to understand their needs and ensure the procurement strategy supports the overall business goals.
Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, regulatory compliance, and ethical sourcing.
Play a critical role in developing and implementing sustainable procurement practices.
Identify and evaluate opportunities for new products or improvements to existing ones that can drive company revenue growth.
Participate and support procurement projects in other indirect categories as opportunities arise.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Technical field.
Possess a minimum of five years of experience in Category Management for Technology, in mature and advanced environments, leading this strategic category within an international corporate framework, managing across diverse business units, geographies, and multiple currencies.
Strong analytical skills with a comprehensive understanding of business analysis, costing, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models.
Advanced proficiency in the Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite
Complete fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Fundamental knowledge of legal documentation, with the capability to interpret contracts and determine when to engage legal support.
Willingness to travel globally around 10% of the time, with peaks up to 25%.
Nice to Have: Fluency in additional languages, particularly German, Italian, or French are highly appreciated.
At least three years of experience in other subcategories within Indirects
