About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Orchestrate Víssimo Group’s data and analytics strategy, ensuring the integrity, performance, and scalability of the architecture on AWS (Redshift) and other solutions.
Lead the technical team with a hands-on approach, acting as a true technical leader who moves between engineering robust pipelines and delivering high-impact dashboards (Looker, Power BI and SQL).
Serve as a consultative interface between technology and the business areas (B2C and B2B), translating retail and distribution challenges into analytical solutions that form an essential foundation for the strategic use of Artificial Intelligence.
Implement efficient governance and automation processes, maintaining a relentless and proactive mindset to anticipate issues, optimize decision-making, and drive technological innovation across the group.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics or related fields.
Minimum 5 to 8 years working in Data (Engineering or BI), with at least 2 years in proven technical leadership roles, project coordination or team mentoring.
Hands-on experience in retail companies with high volumes and complex online/offline integrations (Omnichannel).
Cloud AWS (Core): Mandatory expertise in Amazon Redshift (including Redshift Spectrum), AWS Glue, S3 and Lambda.
Advanced SQL is mandatory. Experience with dbt (data build tool) for data transformation is a strong plus.
Proficiency in Looker (LookML) and Power BI (DAX).
Knowledge of data modeling (Star Schema) and pipeline orchestration (Airflow/MWAA).
Understanding of AI-oriented architecture (Feature Stores, ingestion of unstructured data and vector databases) to ensure quality inputs for predictive models.
Technical restlessness: does not accept slow processes; constantly seeks automation.
Questioning mindset: challenges the status quo to ensure what is being built generates real value.
Leadership by example: is the team’s technical reference and mentors less experienced professionals.
Business translation: able to translate sales needs into engineering requirements.
