While working in a fast-paced environment, have primary responsibility for all aspects of the accounting system and general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and audits.
Payroll management, expense oversight and forecasting, customer billing and reconciliation, and NPO planning.
Guide junior-level staff members and ensure adherence to processes.
Respond to periodic and ad hoc requests as required.
Oversee month-end closing procedures and special projects as needed.
Lead yearly tax filings with an external tax accountant.
Collaborate and provide support to cross-functional teams.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in accounting is strongly preferred.
4+ years of accounting experience.
3+ years of QuickBooks experience preferred.
Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving spirit.
Ability to communicate well internally and externally with clients/vendors.
Detail-oriented and able to efficiently manage multiple work efforts simultaneously.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot tables, index/match, etc.).
Proficient in English
