About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, configure, commission, support, and maintain the Vision RT product portfolio at customer sites
- Conduct site surveys and assess installation readiness
- Deliver remote and on-site technical support for software, hardware, operating system, and connectivity issues
- Perform preventative maintenance, system upgrades, software updates, and product enhancements
- Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows-based systems and associated devices
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and communication issues with customer IT teams
- Maintain service documentation, installation records, maintenance reports, and customer activity logs
- Build strong customer relationships and provide responsive, customer-focused service
- Travel throughout the assigned region for installations, maintenance, training, and customer requests
- Perform physical installations, including mounting monitors, routing cables up to 50 metres, and installing equipment
- Work safely on ladders and alongside contractors in construction, hospital, and clinical environments
- Participate in evening and occasional weekend work
- Travel to customer sites at short notice when required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive travel throughout the US, up to 90% of working time
- Comfortable with frequent overnight travel and occasional weekend travel
- Ideally based near Dallas, Austin, or Houston
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, configuration, hardware management, storage, BIOS, firmware, services, security settings, and troubleshooting tools
- Experience diagnosing and resolving software, operating system, and hardware issues in a customer-facing environment
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, network security, protocols, and ports
- Experience troubleshooting network connectivity using ping, tracert, ipconfig, and remote support applications
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, endpoint protection, system hardening, and customer IT security requirements
- Solid PC hardware knowledge, including component replacement, peripherals, connectivity, and performance
- Experience delivering remote and on-site technical support
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service focus
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple customer locations
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and follow installation, maintenance, and service procedures
- Proactive, results-oriented approach and commitment to customer satisfaction
- Desirable: Microsoft Windows Server experience
- Desirable: Basic SQL database and database connectivity knowledge
- Desirable: RAID and storage systems familiarity
- Desirable: Healthcare technology, medical device, radiotherapy, medical imaging, or regulated technical-environment experience
- Desirable: CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent industry-recognised qualifications
