Key responsibilities & impact

Design code and systems influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability
Collaborate cross-functionally to create design artifacts and develop software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings
Contribute to product quality improvements, service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads
Develop robust and scalable products for end-user merchants, B2B, and business-to-government solutions
Leverage innovative technologies to build Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later technology
Understand requirements and contribute to development and solution strategies under minimal guidance
Apply programming languages such as HTML, C++, and Java to write code fulfilling website modification requests and technical requirements
Support piloting new technology capabilities and features that enhance e-commerce user experiences
Analyze bugs for simple issues and use debugging tools to verify assumptions
Build and test software products serving Visa’s global customer base

Requirements

What you’ll need

7.5+ years of relevant work experience
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree
Extensive technical experience with JAVA, Spring, and Hibernate
Experience with Eclipse/MyEclipse, JetBrains IntelliJ, or another major Java IDE
Experience with GIT/Stash, Maven, and Jenkins
Extensive API development experience using SOAP or REST, JSON, XML, OAuth, and SAML
Experience with SQL datastores such as DB2/MySQL
Experience with Unix or Linux platforms
Experience with tools development, automation, CI/CD, auto deployment, system availability, logging, and monitoring
Some experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka
Ability to write clean, coherent code following established coding guidelines
Strong written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with NoSQL datastores such as MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, and Prometheus
Experience working in an Agile framework
Expertise in one or more general development languages, such as Java, C#, or C++
Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability
Experience collaborating with Product, Test, Dev-ops, and Agile/Scrum teams
