About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee consulting activities and deliver high-quality consulting engagements in the North American region
Build and nurture business relationships between Visa and key clients
Engage with Visa internal teams in strategic and planning discussions
Lead advisory engagements and manage project execution teams
Provide career mentorship
Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions, and recommendations addressing impactful opportunities and challenges
Partner with marketing, analytics, risk, innovation, data science, product, and global regional teams to execute projects
Produce insights and analyses to improve client performance and provide strategic guidance across the payment P&L
Provide knowledge sharing, coaching, and training as a subject matter expert
Build scalable solutions, toolkits, best-practice documents, and consulting approaches for the VCA practice
Sell, develop, and deliver high-impact projects for Visa Canada’s financial institution partners

Requirements

What you’ll need

8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree, or at least 5 years with an Advanced Degree, or 2 years with a PhD
Preferred: 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree, or 7 or more years with an Advanced Degree, or 3 or more years with a PhD
Demonstrated experience in corporate and business strategy or management consulting roles
Proven ability to deliver projects and expertise in consulting methodologies
Executive presence with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Leadership, managerial, collaboration, and matrixed-organization capabilities
Demonstrated project management skills managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
Entrepreneurial, proactive, self-starting approach
Substantial problem-solving ability with strategic focus on ROI
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large data sets and synthesize key client impacts
Ability to manage numerous projects concurrently
Ability to identify strategic issues and deliver creative and innovative solutions
Understanding of banking or payments P&L and profitability drivers
Ability to influence and negotiate with senior executives
Technology and digital fluency
Understanding of consumer economics, behavior, trends, and applications
MBA or relevant graduate degree from a top-tier institution or similar academic experience preferred
Experience working in or with the banking and payments industry
Previous experience in a management consulting firm
Prior experience working with Canadian banks and other financial institutions is a plus
High integrity and business ethics
