Key responsibilities & impact

Design code and systems influencing Visa’s standards for scalability, security, and reusability
Collaborate cross-functionally to create design artifacts and develop software solutions
Contribute to product quality improvements, service technology, and new business flows in agile squads
Develop robust and scalable products for merchants, B2B, and business-to-government solutions
Build payment technology for Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later
Implement modifications to existing software code according to design specifications and security best practices
Improve systems and tools and support new automation development and implementation
Participate in code and design reviews, on-call rotations, and incident responses
Analyze systems, platforms, and telemetry to identify issues in code, processes, and designs

Requirements

What you’ll need

2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Knowledge of back-end development, including Java
Ability to develop and use APIs
Knowledge of database software
Knowledge of systems integration
Knowledge of data structures
Expertise in Java
Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability
Interest in learning technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
Experience collaborating with Product, Test, Dev-ops, and Agile/Scrum teams
Ability to participate in on-call rotations and incident responses
Ability to travel 5–10% of the time
