About the role
- Development and maintenance of projects in Golang language with deployment on AWS
- Proactively contributes to the betterment of other engineers through sponsoring, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback
- Consistently leads their squad to good outcomes from a technical perspective, ensuring appropriate engineering decisions are made to factor in technical debt, systems design, stability/reliability, monitoring/observability, and business need
- Participation in technical analysis with product team requirements
- Execution of Terraform to create/remove new resources on AWS
- Monitoring applications through logs/metrics
- Remote position; may require presence at a Visa office with scheduled notice
Requirements
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD (preferred)
- 3 years of experience with Golang
- +2 years of experience with Cloud(AWS, Google GCP, Azure)
- +2 years of experience with Infra as a code tools (Terraform, Ansible, AWS Cloud Formation)
- Knowledge in Java (differential)
- Team management experience (differential)
- Work with critical systems (differential)
