About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide staff support through the IT helpdesk (Jira Service Management) for day-to-day IT matters
- Manage access to SaaS systems, including regular reconciliation (Microsoft 365, Okta, Atlassian, Slack, Zoom)
- Set up email accounts, groups and calendars (Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, AD/Entra ID)
- Install, configure, and upgrade software for self-hosted systems
- Server maintenance and upgrades
- Monitor servers and services (Zabbix), resolve or escalate incidents
- Troubleshoot outages, creating RFO (Reason of Outage) documents if required
- Handle IT matters as needed during staff onboarding/offboarding, including endpoint enrollment (MDM) and asset delivery
- Support local office facilities: workplace equipment, network and meeting-room setup, hardware inventory, and coordination with local vendors and the office landlord
- Work with the wider IT and Security team to build, document, and implement internal processes and workflows
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization’s security hygiene and policies
- Help with hardware service and maintenance
- Plan and deliver assets to employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 years of working experience with Linux and be comfortable administering RHEL/CentOS and Debian/Ubuntu systems
- An understanding of networking concepts, ideally with some hands-on experience
- A working knowledge of Windows and MacOS systems
- Good spoken and written English language skills
- Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Active Directory administration
- Understanding and maintenance of IT hardware
- Ability to work a mixed schedule with partial overlap with European time zones
- Experience working in an IT helpdesk/customer support environment would be an advantage
- Experience with identity/SSO (Okta), MDM (Hexnode or similar), or endpoint security (EDR) tooling would be an advantage
- Previous exposure to virtualization platforms would be an advantage
- Working experience with Apache, Nginx, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Zabbix, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, k8s would be great too, otherwise a keen willingness to expand your skills in these directions
