About the role

  • Lead a large project across multiple studios and disciplines and oversee a team of producers assigned to this project across these studios.
  • Be a key leader/contributor to the development team and responsible for identifying and resolving issues across studios and between Virtuos and the client.
  • Develop trust and secure buy-in from multiple teams including key members of the client’s team, the development team and the business development team.
  • Manage the production to ensure deliverables match the expectations and quality of the client.
  • Oversee milestone content and realistic production schedules in coordination with team leads and management, across multiple locations.
  • Manage change – ensuring project scope is adhered to, controlling feature creep, ensuring project is delivered in accordance with expectations, and project budget changes if necessary.
  • Continuously assess risk and keep the scope of the project in line with budget and schedule.
  • Manage day to day communication of matters regarding schedule, budget, change and risk with the client and internal stakeholders and make recommendations accordingly.
  • Ensure that each Producer on your team is working from a tracked schedule and has a strong sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability for the quality and timeliness of their contribution.
  • Ensure excellent communication, positive working relationships and teamwork across all studios within the development team and across disciplines.
  • Possess the ability to leverage your position to manage effectively during busy periods, paying special attention to the efficiency, velocity and progress of the project.

Requirements

  • Shipped at least 2 successful AAA games in a production management role.
  • Highly responsible, self-directed, detail oriented problem solver with a desire to contribute to a creative environment.
  • Outstanding organization, communication and exceptional management skills/leadership.
  • Exceptional project management practices and software including Excel, PowerPoint, Hansoft/Jira and Word.
  • Working knowledge of SCRUM and Agile practices.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively within a large project across multiple locations.
  • Knowledge of technical issues in game development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, utilizing both oral and written communication.
  • Proactive and positive attitude with the willingness to support the team and project.
  • Strong leadership skills, able to drive various functions (e.g. Design, Art, Engineering) through the whole development process.
  • Fluent English language skills.
