About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and oversee configuration and setup of new client billing accounts
Partner with Engineering, Credentialing, Eligibility, and Finance for onboarding and payment setup
Maintain documentation for onboarding, configuration, and customer contract updates
Own and maintain the Price Book across billing and payer setups
Lead billing testing to validate configurations and prevent downstream issues
Apply eligibility, benefit, and coding details to billing setups
Develop documentation, recommend automation, and improve implementation workflows
Serve as subject matter expert for front-end RCM processes and system integrations
Oversee Data and Charge Entry contractors and FTE deliverables
Lead process improvement projects focused on automation, accuracy, and scalability
Drive enhancements across Athena, Zuora, and Salesforce
Mentor junior team members and contractors
Resolve differences and align stakeholders through documentation, updates, and collaborative planning
Master core RCM platforms and client/payer billing requirements during the first 90 days
Provide prioritization to the Charge Entry team and lead process improvement efforts
Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve system inefficiencies and align end-to-end processes
Build relationships with contractors and document best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

3–5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, including direct billing and payer implementations
Proven success managing complex accounts, handling escalations, and resolving exceptions
Experience overseeing Data and Charge Entry contractors
Advanced understanding of commercial and government payer policies, reimbursement methodologies, and contract requirements
Advanced knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding
Experience leading small projects or process improvement initiatives
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and build reporting frameworks
Familiarity with product development or systems optimization preferred
Strong technical proficiency with Athena, Zuora, Salesforce, and JIRA or similar RCM systems
Excellent communication and collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
Proactive use of AI tools to improve output and efficiency
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must answer whether employment visa sponsorship will be required
