About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with a team to design and implement highly available, secure, scalable and cost-effective systems and processes, ensuring the reliability and performance of the company's AWS infrastructure
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) automation (e.g., Terraform) to create IaC patterns and modules that accelerate development for end users programmatically
  • Monitor systems and applications, proactively identifying and resolving any performance bottlenecks or availability issues
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting containerised workloads to ensure high availability and optimal performance
  • Develop and maintain monitoring tools, alerts, and dashboards to provide visibility into system health and performance
  • Conduct post-incident analyses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures to avoid future incidents
  • Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
  • Create and maintain documentation for system architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement and deploy new features and enhancements, ensuring they meet reliability and performance standards
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in site reliability engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of relevant AWS Cloud/DevOps/Software engineering experience
  • Demonstrable skills in working with complex ecosystems
  • Understanding of security concepts: encryption, secure application development, defensive programming, software vulnerabilities and exploits, general issues in web security
  • AWS Administration experience, optimum resource management/security
  • Experience delivering scalable Event Driven systems
  • Comfortable scripting and debugging
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
