About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the development and commercialisation of new business propositions in the Irish and Northern Irish markets, taking these from a concept to realisation
- Deliver market entry and scaling of new propositions in line with agreed objectives and timescales to maximise the benefits achieved
- Champion and drive forward further strategic new business development / proposition commercialisation avenues as agreed with management
- Lead engagement with customers to support delivery new business offerings
- Develop very strong customer relationships and represent the company externally with customers, channel partners, at conferences, etc. as required
- Liaise with other functions within VIOTAS – leverage deep cross-functional collaboration – as required to develop and realise new business opportunities
- Act as the key point of contact, subject matter expert and focal point for new business propositions under development
- Create and deliver presentations and proposals both internally to management, and externally to clients, of the highest quality with extremely clear and concise insights
- Use all available information and market data, coupled with deep energy market, decarbonisation and regulatory landscape expertise to identify business opportunities
- Lead the development and negotiation of any required contracts with customers, suppliers, etc.
- Strategic assessment of any existing or arising commercial opportunities related to VIOTAS’ activities in Ireland / Northern Ireland, plus development and presentation of profitable business models and comprehensive execution plans to exploit these
- Act as a leader within the VIOTAS Ireland team, heavily influencing the direction of this part of the business and the company’s significant portfolio in the all-island market.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of eight years previous relevant experience
- A strong understanding of the energy market, particularly where it impacts larger energy users (LEUs)
- An understanding of the typical decarbonisation strategies being implemented by LEUs, including deployment of renewable energy technologies and electrification programmes
- Exceptional attention to detail and a pragmatic approach
- Ability to work on own initiative with a high level of personal motivation
- A degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification
