About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement ISP/PSTPs and recommended plans emphasizing community employment
  • Manage daily operations in workroom, facility, and community employment settings
  • Oversee employment training, contract work, program maintenance, and community employment
  • Participate in ISP/PSTP and vocational profile development and manage a caseload
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical, educational, and vocational/employment programs
  • Collect and analyze data bi-monthly and recommend changes to rehabilitation interventions and teaching strategies
  • Meet monthly with the interdisciplinary team to review treatment, educational, and vocational/employment goals
  • Work individually and in groups with people served to develop skills
  • Supervise Job Coach I activities and assist with training new staff, relief staff, and interns
  • Provide training and development activities as needed
  • Complete monthly progress notes and semi-annual and/or annual assessments
  • Maintain program area, supplies, and equipment
  • Advocate for people served and perform related duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • One to two years of experience in a related function
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license presented at employment
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid US driver's license maintained for at least six months
  • Adequate insurance and safe driving record if using a personal vehicle
  • Ability to pass a driver's screening background check
  • CPR required within two weeks of hire
  • First Aid required within two weeks of hire
  • Safety Care required within 90 days of hire
  • MAP required within 150 days of hire
  • NET required
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, lift at least 25 pounds, and assist clients with daily living tasks
  • Ability to operate a computer, calculator, copier, and printer
  • Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with clients, staff, and external representatives
  • Knowledge of empowerment, self-advocacy, applied behavioral analysis, communication styles, assessment practices, crisis intervention, community resources, documentation requirements, and physical and independent living management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to provide a positive role model
