About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide direct support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Work together with the people we serve, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff
Transform lives by building independence skills or increasing quality of life
Administer medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP)
Implement treatment plans and assist with activities of daily living
Provide transportation on outings such as shopping and doctor's appointments

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED required
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or brain injury strongly preferred
Strong time management and writing skills
All applicants must be at least 21 years of age
Current, valid, US drivers' license for at least 6 months
Must be able to become CPR, First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment
Must successfully complete Safety Care within 90 days
Must be able to successfully pass a CORI, reference, national fingerprinting and driving record check
