Mental Health Counselor
VinfenMental Health Counselor providing direct support in Community Crisis Stabilization Program for adults. Preparing clients for community reintegration and implementing treatment plans in a supportive environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides direct service in an adult Community Crisis Stabilization Program.
- Helps prepare clients returning to the community to engage in the recovery process.
- Assists with intake and orientation procedures with clients and their families.
- Contributes to the assessment, individualized crisis planning, discharge planning, and care coordination.
- Implements individual's treatment plan.
- Ensures an environment that promotes safety, recovery, and treatment.
- Assists clients in routine living activities including cleaning, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Uses crisis intervention techniques when necessary.
- Completes incident documentation as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
What you’ll need- One to two years of job-specific experience in the human services field preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid driver's license must be presented at the time of employment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have maintained a valid US driver's license for at least one year.
- Must be able to pass a driver's screening background check.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with clients, staff, and external representatives.
- CPR is required within two weeks of hire.
- First Aid is required within two weeks of hire.
- CPSS is required.
- NET is required.
