About the role
- Assist in implementing treatment programs, including ISP/ PSTPs and clinical programs
- Maintain records for persons served
- Provide training and support to persons served in completing ADLs
- Conduct fire and safety training for persons served
- Monitor physical and emotional needs, and report changes to supervisor
- Store, administer, document and dispose of medication for persons served
- Participate in all mandated training and staff meetings as directed by the Site Manager
- Perform hands-on tasks in the program as required
- Ensure required staff to person served ratio is maintained at all times
- Provide physical intervention and/or first aid in the event of behavior or medical emergency
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- A bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field is preferred
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injury strongly preferred
- All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid, US drivers' license for at least 6 months
- All applicants must be able to become CPR, First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment and MAP certified within 150 days of employment
- All candidates must be able to successfully pass a CORI, reference, national fingerprinting and driving record check.
