About the role

  • Assist in implementing treatment programs, including ISP/ PSTPs and clinical programs
  • Maintain records for persons served
  • Provide training and support to persons served in completing ADLs
  • Conduct fire and safety training for persons served
  • Monitor physical and emotional needs, and report changes to supervisor
  • Store, administer, document and dispose of medication for persons served
  • Participate in all mandated training and staff meetings as directed by the Site Manager
  • Perform hands-on tasks in the program as required
  • Ensure required staff to person served ratio is maintained at all times
  • Provide physical intervention and/or first aid in the event of behavior or medical emergency

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • A bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field is preferred
  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injury strongly preferred
  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid, US drivers' license for at least 6 months
  • All applicants must be able to become CPR, First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment and MAP certified within 150 days of employment
  • All candidates must be able to successfully pass a CORI, reference, national fingerprinting and driving record check.
