About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify and cultivate early-stage investment opportunities across the NWA ecosystem
Work closely with regional ESO partners for deal flow
Build and interpret financial models and lead due diligence
Evaluate financing instruments and draft investment memos
Manage the end-to-end deal process from sourcing through close
Maintain active relationships with portfolio companies
Serve as a visible presence in the NWA ecosystem
Cultivate relationships with local and regional investors
Produce regular pipeline and portfolio updates

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 to 7 years of experience at a CDFI, bank, investment organization, or accelerator within Arkansas
Experience analyzing financial statements and building financial projections
Familiarity with alternative financing structures, specifically redeemable equity and revenue-share debt
Established presence in the NWA entrepreneurial ecosystem
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for financial modeling
