About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the introduction of agentic AI development practices across the engineering organization
Own the AI-assisted reverse engineering of the legacy platform
Define and execute the technology strategy and multi-year engineering roadmap for VikingCloud
Make critical architectural decisions to decompose legacy systems and establish shared services
Transform today's manual QA and deployment processes into a fully automated, rapid-release engineering engine
Build a metrics-driven engineering culture from the ground up with defined KPIs
Unify the engineering organization under a single, modern development methodology
Partner closely with the EVP of Global Product to ensure alignment between product strategy and engineering execution

Requirements

What you’ll need

15+ years of progressive software engineering experience in operating roles at technology or SaaS companies
At least 8 years in senior engineering leadership (VP of Engineering, CTO, SVP of Engineering, or equivalent)
Direct hands-on experience with modern agentic AI development tooling (Claude, Cursor, Kiro, GitHub Copilot, etc.)
Demonstrated experience using AI to reverse-engineer legacy codebases
Experience leading engineering organizations of 150+ engineers across multiple geographies
Explicit experience owning a multi-geography operating model with India as a substantive footprint
Strong command of agile methodologies at scale
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Advanced degree (MS, MBA) preferred
