About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the availability, performance, and operational integrity of Immense Studio's game platform and production infrastructure
- Own the reliability, availability, and performance of Immense Studio's game platform across all environments
- Establish and monitor service level objectives (SLOs) and key reliability metrics
- Maintain rigorous oversight of platform health through proactive log analysis, database monitoring, and environment management
- Lead incident response for platform and production issues
- Own and evolve the studio's CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Drive the adoption of infrastructure-as-code practices
- Manage integrations with casino operators, aggregation platforms, and third-party Remote Game Servers (RGS)
- Plan and execute platform upgrades and framework improvements
- Lead, develop, and grow the SRE function within Immense Studio
- Conduct resource planning to ensure the team has the capacity and skills to meet studio delivery goals
- Act as a technical escalation point and coach for engineers
- Work closely with backend developers, game engineers, QA, and the mathematics team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent professional experience
- Strong proficiency in Python and solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database management
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tooling
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to develop people and build a high-performing technical function
- Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal; comfortable engaging with both technical teams and external partners
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, system observability, and monitoring best practices
- Hands-on experience with Linux-based infrastructure, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-based environments
- Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering role, with at least some leadership or management responsibility
