About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and grow revenue and profitability for a portfolio of direct buying customer accounts
  • Build strong, long-term customer relationships as the main commercial point of contact
  • Deliver timely, high-quality account support aligned to customer characterization and revenue thresholds
  • Identify opportunities to improve the overall customer experience and coordinate solutions with internal teams
  • Manage incoming leads from existing or new OEM/Tier1/Specifier accounts and providing advanced technical and regulatory support to convert leads into qualified opportunities
  • Lead business development opportunities to introduce new products, translating applications, and scaling production
  • Manage price quotations and negotiations within agreed authority levels to maximize margin
  • Forecast and track account KPIs including revenue, margin, ASP, and competitive position
  • Monitor customer usage versus competitive products to identify share‑gain opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including meeting reports, pipeline activity, and account plans

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience as a Sales Account Manager, Account Manager, Business Development Manager or similar commercial role
  • Plastics background/industry experience
  • Strong customer relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline and account activity
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally in a global, matrix organization
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience) plus we would prefer the successful candidate to be a member of a recognized commercial or sales institute
