About the role
- The Senior Policy Analyst will play a central role in the development of the Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) for Environment Effects Statement fees, supporting reforms to modernise Victoria’s environmental assessment cost framework.
- The role will undertake policy analysis, economic assessment, regulatory design, and stakeholder engagement to support evidence-based fee reforms and deliver best-practice regulatory products.
- This position will lead research, prepare policy options, coordinate consultation, analyse regulatory impacts, and make a significant contribution to drafting the RIS.
Requirements
- Mandatory Experience in policy development and/or regulatory reform in a government context
- Demonstrated experience in preparing impact analysis, policy options or RIS.
- Desirable Qualifications in public policy, economics, law, environment, government, or related field
- Experience in cost-benefit analysis, economic modelling, or fee design.
- Knowledge of planning and environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
