About the role
- Help provide a solid evidence base to support for the development of new public transport service plans.
- Analyze and present performance, reliability and patronage data for the public transport network.
- Develop data transformation flows, dashboards, and geospatial project templates and tools.
- Collaborate with other teams to analyze and identify opportunities to improve data quality.
- Respond to ad hoc requests for data analytics.
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification or experience in Transport Planning, Data/Computer Science/Analytics/Engineering, or another field relevant to this role.
- Knowledge of the Victorian public transport system
- Expertise in the use of GIS software, ideally ARCGIS and/or QGIS.
- Skills in data analytics platforms such as Tableau, PowerBI, and/or databricks.
- Experience with programming and querying languages such as SQL, R, and/or Python.
- Experience with public transport network planning software such as HASTUS, Austrics, Optibus and/or Remix.
