Business Development Manager – Hyper-scale Startup
VicolandBusiness Development Manager at Vicoland integrating innovative SAP solutions in a growing gig economy. Leading client engagement and developing the Vico model through strategic initiatives.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape the market
- Support positioning Vicoland as an alternative to traditional consulting models – with enterprise clients and subcontracting partners.
- Contribute to go-to-market activities and help tailor messaging to specific client situations.
- Own and execute key marketing activities, including website content, LinkedIn presence, and targeted outreach campaigns (e.g. cold email), to drive visibility and demand.
- Participate in client conversations and help translate the Vico model into tangible client value.
- Identify cross- and upsell opportunities together with the team.
- Maintain and update CRM data (e.g. pipeline, activities, client information) to ensure transparency and data quality.
- Collaborate with Vico Leads to support smooth delivery and positive client outcomes.
- Help onboard new Vico Leads and support them during setup.
- Assist in writing and maintaining Vico profiles and positioning materials.
- Support the sourcing of suitable experts for Vicos.
- Screen and interview candidates to assess fit for Vico roles and client needs.
- Coordinate with experts and Vico Leads during the staffing process.
- Apply AI tools in daily work (e.g. research, outreach, content creation).
- Support the use of Vicoland’s AI capabilities in client-related activities.
- Share feedback from client interactions and recruiting activities.
- Support improvements of internal processes, tools, and ways of working.
- Work closely with the team to support business growth.
Requirements
What you’ll need- min. 2 years of experience in business development, consulting, sales, or a related role
- Experience in client-facing roles, with the ability to support consultative conversations and understand client needs
- Interest in the SAP ecosystem or enterprise software landscape (prior SAP experience is beneficial but not required)
- Curiosity for new technologies, especially AI, and willingness to use AI tools in daily work
- Structured and proactive working style, with a hands-on mindset
- Strong communication skills and confidence in interacting with different stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial attitude and motivation to contribute to building new business
- Initial experience in recruiting, sourcing, or working with external experts is a plus
- Experience with CRM tools and maintaining structured pipeline data is beneficial
- Fluent in German and English.
