About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective and compliant Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards
  • Lead and manage all aspects of supplier quality engineering, including supplier selection, qualification, auditing, performance monitoring, and corrective action implementation
  • Establish and maintain robust processes for managing non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and change control within the QMS
  • Oversee internal and external QMS audits, ensuring timely closure of findings and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D) to integrate quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle
  • Develop and deliver QMS and SQE training programs for employees and suppliers
  • Drive continuous improvement activities using lean methodologies and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D) to enhance product quality, reliability, and supplier performance
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics and performance indicators to senior leadership
  • Manage a team of quality professionals, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance reviews
  • Stay current with evolving quality standards, regulations, and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Quality Management Systems and Supplier Quality Engineering within a manufacturing or technology environment
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role
  • Proven expertise in ISO 9001 implementation and maintenance; AS9100 or TL9000 experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and conducting supplier audits and qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels
  • Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM/OE), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Lead Auditor are highly desirable
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (approximately 20-30%)
