About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create, define, and own the enterprise strategy and vision for the upstream content ecosystem, including MLR, DAM, CAT, and integrations
  • Develop infrastructure enabling modular content reuse, scalability, accelerated speed-to-market, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and user-centric experiences
  • Establish DAM as the single source of truth and align the ecosystem with end users
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align platform strategy with digital, marketing, and business objectives
  • Develop and own the commercial roadmap for continuous improvement
  • Define and track enterprise KPIs for adoption, engagement, cycle-time reduction, content reuse, efficiency gains, and process reduction
  • Identify and prioritize innovation opportunities such as AI-enabled workflows, automation, and intelligent metadata
  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks, workflow controls, permissions, metadata, and taxonomy discipline
  • Partner with Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and IT stakeholders
  • Manage the multi-year content ecosystem investment portfolio and develop business cases and value realization strategies
  • Monitor platform adoption, workflow efficiency, bottlenecks, metadata quality, and integrity
  • Lead continuous improvement through platform enhancements, process optimization, and integration maturity
  • Chair the enterprise content governance council and establish stakeholder decision-making frameworks
  • Present strategic recommendations, roadmap decisions, and performance metrics to executive leadership
  • Represent content operations requirements and priorities with IT and drive accountability across internal and external partners
  • Lead and develop a team of business process owners and/or operational specialists
  • Build organizational capability in platform utilization, content operations, change management, and adoption
  • Champion a product mindset across the organization
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise metadata and taxonomy frameworks
  • Oversee content and metadata integrity and flow across systems
  • Enable reporting and analytics through structured, governed data
  • Partner with IT to evolve the content data model and integration strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Advanced degree (equivalent) preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in content operations, business process, or digital content ecosystems
  • Combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and enterprise platforms
  • Deep experience with DAM, MLR, and/or content lifecycle platforms such as Veeva or Aprimo
  • Strong experience in regulated environments; pharma preferred
  • Proven ability to operate at strategic and operational levels
  • Experience driving cross-functional alignment in complex, global organizations
  • Strong partnership with IT platform owners
  • Strategic leadership with strong business and digital acumen
  • Enterprise product mindset and value-driven decision making
  • Executive stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Strong understanding of content lifecycle, governance, and compliance
  • Data-driven and analytical approach to performance management
  • Ability to lead through complexity and drive organizational change
  • Willingness to travel internationally, approximately 20%
  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English is required
