About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently plan, prepare and conduct indication-specific scientific discussions/visits with office-based specialists
  • Achieve growth and revenue targets
  • Identify and strategically manage relevant customer groups and specialists (currently neurologists, gastroenterologists, pain specialists) as well as specialized centers
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional and national key opinion leaders while strictly adhering to legal requirements and Viatris internal codes and rules
  • Analyze and actively shape regional networks that influence prescribing behavior of the target groups
  • Provide evidence-based, indication-specific advice on products, services and therapeutic options in the defined territory; communicate appropriately to target audiences in accordance with the German Medicines Act (AMG) and internal compliance requirements
  • Implement the applicable marketing and sales strategy for the territory, including individual action planning based on CRM and market data as well as a comprehensive analysis of regional influencing factors
  • Actively support therapy switches and initiation of new treatments and ensure stable patient care
  • Position yourself as a competent, scientifically grounded contact person in the specialist segment to strengthen the Viatris brand
  • Plan, execute and/or support regional and national scientific events (on-site/hybrid/digital) in compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines
  • Ensure complete, timely documentation of all activities, sample dispensing and customer data in the CRM system (currently Veeva/Salesforce.com)
  • Mandatory reporting of adverse reactions (ADRs) within 24 hours in accordance with applicable legal and internal regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Several years of field sales experience with prescription medicines (Rx); ideally in the specialist field force
  • Authorization as a pharmaceutical representative according to §75 of the German Medicines Act (AMG)
  • Degree in natural sciences or a medical/pharmaceutical background is an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of the pharmacology of the relevant therapy areas (currently neurology, gastroenterology)
  • Experience in the specialty or specialist field force and working with complex therapeutic areas is desirable
  • Strong customer orientation, professional stakeholder management and ability to establish long-term relationships
  • Pronounced commercial sales skills, scientific argumentation strength and strong closing orientation
  • Analytical, entrepreneurial thinking including confident interpretation of regional market and healthcare data
  • Team player with high self-organization, digital competence and a structured way of working, as well as excellent communication skills
  • Driver's license class B
  • Residence within the territory to be covered – Hannover, Celle, Braunschweig, Wolfsburg, Hameln
  • Good English skills desirable for use of international study and product information and to facilitate internal corporate communication
