About the role

  • Viatris empowers people worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life.
  • Responsible for driving sales through promotion of Viatris products to OBGYNs, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Pharmacists in Detroit territory.
  • Executes territory management plan, develops pre-& post-call planning strategy, leverages assets like Lunch and Learns.
  • Achieve sales goals while adhering to ethical sales practices and regulations.
  • Gathers and utilizes information to develop and implement strategies for territory prescribers.
  • Develops clear call objectives and ensures high levels of call and field productivity.
  • Actively listens, observes and solicits feedback to engage in meaningful dialogue and improve patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrates persuasive dialogue to change customer behavior and appropriate product utilization.
  • Responds to customer requests in a timely, reliable manner with consistent information.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required.
  • Minimum of 11 years of pharmaceutical, medical or related sales experience preferred with a proven and successful track record in all aspects of technical knowledge, selling techniques, and comprehensive understanding of medical terminology.
  • However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
  • Demonstrated: business acumen, account management and 1:1 interactions that are 2-way dialogues, meaningful, relevant and persuasive; ability to work independently and as a team member to deliver results; self-starter, highly motivated and strong leadership.
  • Documented history of successful performance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Meets expectations for the key competencies for this role.
  • Ability to learn, apply and communicate products and disease states over time.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Must live within geography of responsibility or within reasonable driving distance.
  • No relocation offered.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.
