About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Uphold compliance with tax regulations and optimize tax processes for employees on international assignments
- Handle the tax consequences of global mobility and facilitate smooth transitions for employees across different countries
- Accurately prepare, review, and file tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within designated deadlines
- Offer specialized advice and strategic recommendations to internal teams on tax planning, withholding responsibilities, and social security contributions
- Collaborate with finance and HR departments for precise calculation and reporting of payroll taxes
- Educate and counsel employees on their tax responsibilities
- Provide guidance on tax equalization and protection policies
- Analyze employee compensation and payroll data to calculate tax liabilities and identify benefits
- Maintain detailed tax records for accuracy and audit-readiness
- Compile and present tax reports to management and tax authorities
- Collaborate with Tax SMEs for integrated solutions and research on country-specific tax issues
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients with employees on business trips
- Responsible for financial management of the engagement, including billings and metrics tracking
- Recognize and seek fresh business prospects within the existing client base
- Work to expand the client portfolio and nurture client relationships to drive revenue growth
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape for growth opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Commerce Graduate/Postgraduate, MBA
- A US CPA or Enrolled Agent is mandatory
- 6+ years in US Individual Taxation (Form 1040) in a recognized firm or Big4
- Should be a signer of US Individual Income tax returns for a minimum of 12-18 months
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in team management and responsible for quality control within the team
- Possess sound technical knowledge and excellent communication skills, along with analytical thinking ability
- Should have experience of working closely with foreign offices and clients
- Capability to guide and support team members with technical stands and queries
- Willingness to support team functions and experience in mentoring juniors in learning basic and new tax technical topics.
