About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Management and maintenance of the server infrastructure (Windows/Linux)
  • Administration and deployment of virtualization environments based on Microsoft Windows Hyper-V servers
  • Monitoring system performance and availability
  • Maintenance of monitoring systems such as PRTG, SmokePing, and CheckMK
  • Overseeing regular system backups (VEEAM) and performing restore tests
  • Implementing security measures and updates
  • Supporting the team in 1st- and 2nd-level support
  • Documenting system configurations and changes in Atlassian Confluence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in a STEM subject or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of experience in server and system administration
  • Strong knowledge of administering Windows environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization solutions
  • Knowledge of network technologies and protocols
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a structured working approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluent in German and English
